Waking up with beautiful music as my alarm and diving right into meditation and yoga first has really improved my life in so many ways. I am so happy you took time out of your day to come and vibe with me today! Overworking, over-giving, and negative self talk are the days of the past.
Meditation is medication! Try it!
Create a space and/or day for self care. Take a day off often! Go get a massage!
Thank me for the reminder later!
So! Kwanzaa starts on the 26th! I am so excited! Have you started your Kwanzaa decorating yet? Remember the colors are red, black, and green!
Yes! I stocked up on construction paper!. My kids and I love making the powerful Kwanzaa links to wrap around our tree. You only need a few items.
-Red, black, and green construction paper
Then cut the on the ends into strips a few inches wide.
Loop around and tape the ends together. Keep the same red, black, and green pattern.
You can also use those same strips for your Mkeke Mat.
Of course we also made sugar cookies from scratch! Yes! We used cooke cutters and decorated them with yummy icing an sprinkles. My son… well….we call him cookie monster. I tried to take as many pics before they were all eaten up.
Have you located Kwanzaa events around your city? Atlanta has so many events! Here are a few of my favorite events.

Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday observed from December 26th thru January 1st. Dr. Maulana Karenga created the Kwanzaa Festival in 1966. The celebration is based on seven principles recognized each day of Kwanzaa. This year’s Total Dance/Dancical Productions’ festivities are on the fifth day of Kwanzaa celebrating UJAAMA, which means cooperative economics.
This performance is a high-energy blend of dance, drums, and live music. You don’t want to miss it!
I love a quality FREE event! If you live in Atlanta! This event is one of my fave places for self care!
Come gather in celebration of all we have planted, watered, and tended to all year.
Enjoy the harvest of Our collective labor. We made it!
